If you have got this package off the Sunsite Linux archive, here's how
to install without recompiling:

1. Copy gc3 and sel to an appropriate directory such as /usr/local/bin.
2. Copy gc3.man and sel.man to appropriate directories, and rename them
	appropriately. For example, you may do:

	cp gc3.man /usr/local/man/man1/gc3.1
	cp sel.man /usr/local/man/man1/sel.1

3. Copy gc3help.*, gcrules and gc3.key to an appropriate directory.
   This is the tricky part, as gc3 doesn't look in lib directories.
   It will usually look in the home directory, and then in directories
   specified in your path. So, you could copy them to the same directory
   as the binaries. If you are the only user you could put them in 
   your home directory. Otherwise put them in some other directory on
   the path.

   If you know how to, you can put them in a lib directory such
   as /usr/local/lib/gc3, and then set the GCPATH environment
   variable to point to that directory. This is how I do it.

   When you copy gcrules, you should name the copy ".gc3rul".
   Ideally each user will have their own rule file in their 
   home directory. Many basic customisations of gc3 can be
   done by modifying this file (see the on-line help for details).
   It is less likely that the gc3.key file will be edited, so
   this should be kept centrally. Users who want to customise it
   can make a copy in their home directories, as gc3 will look
   there first.

4. You should now be able to run gc3. The first time it starts
   it will try to find gc3.key and compile it. Once that succeeds
   it will start up. If that fails try setting the GCPATH environment
   variable to point to the directory containing gc3.key.

5. Once gc3 starts, you should be able to call up the main menu
   bar by pressing backspace. If that doesn't work, try Ctrl-H. You
   can then press 'H' for Help, followed by Enter, to get to the
   help menu.

   From there you're on your own!
