These files are for wp.org only and will not change much, right?

you can create an independent branch called 'assets' or 'wporg' . See https://bugfactory.io/2016/02/12/orphaned-brachnes-in-git/

These should not be removed but moved to the proper location for a pipeline to be configured SEE #37
