GEOMETOR is an open-source initiative dedicated to the exploration of fundamental aspects of geometry, nature, and logic.
A key mission has been the development of a Python software library to create symbolic models of classical geometric constructions.
While the emphasis of the GEOMETOR project has been geometry, we have recently become very interested in how machines can discern a sequence of logical operations to get to a place you've never been to before.
This is the nature of the geometric proof.
The ARC challenge (https://arcprize.org/) has the same intrigue.
Our investigations into ARC are contained in two repos:
- arcprize: code and reference materials
- arcprizesessions: sessions logs of facilitated tests
We are currently building an agent with the Gemini API
The core mission of GEOMETOR is to develop tools to model, render and analyze complex geometric Euclidean constructions using symbolic algebra with the help of Sympy and Matplotlib
- model: tools for modeling geometric constructions
- render: tools for rendering geometric constructions
- divine: model and analyze the golden ratio
- elements: extract and codify knowledge from the classic work
-
model and investigate geometry of plants particularly relating to the golden ratio
Each repository has:
- Python source code
- demo code
- source for project website
- discussion group
- log
- todo list
- MIT license
The website for each project is statically-generated and hosted through GitHub.
We welcome contributions from anyone interested in geometry, mathematics, nature, or programming. Feel free to contribute to our repositories, raise issues, or propose enhancements.
