The milling calculator should:

  • be accessible from the program menu
  • calculate surface speed per minute
  • calculate material removal rate
  • calculate motor/spindle horsepower requirements
  • calculate spindle speeds in rpm
  • calculate chip load
  • user could possibly enter their machines parameters (rpm range, motor speed and horsepower, etc) and choose between CNC and Manual machine types
