Hi i cannot use German umlauts like ä, ö, or ü in the domain input of the installer. When starting the Docker container, the service does not start.

Thanks for bringing this up because we have not considered how to handle international characters in domains and in the database. We will work on this for an upcoming release.

Just putting this note here in case other come across it:

Thinking about normalizing all domains to ASCII before saving in the database, and then converting back to Unicode before showing to the user with punycode.

If you need these kinds of characters (and i've dealt with them a lot) in your URL, you can use the correct ietf transposition, which browsers do anyway, and how you specify your links in html or where ever with the umlaut. Here is a short explanation of that:

It might be unwieldy for the maintainers to keep up with a list of transpositions for every language. Unfortunately just how the web works.
