is home.module.css used?

it may be too late in the day to bring in a whole new thing, but I love use styled-components. it's a great way of writing CSS for React.

that being said, however you decide to move forward with styling, I would recommend using flex and grid - they're great for making layout just work without a huge amount of effort.
