Is there a plan to support sensors? I am planning to switch to this plugin so was wondering about this.

Yes, that is the plan.

What HW/SW are you using that supports announcing sensors?
(Tasmota does not yet support announcing sensors, I've been planning to add that as well.)

@g1r1 Sorry for the slow progress on this. Are you using this plugin, and would you benefit from sensor support?

+1 on announcing sensors. Just started with Tasmota and a Sonoff Basic and a Sonoff Pow R2. Have S20 on the shelf next. I want to send RSSI values to Domoticz as well. But currently that seems only be doable by Nod-Red. Your plugin works excellent for on/off switch.

I am as well using it and sensors would be helpful. Did you make any progress yet? I'm a programmer and might look into it when I find some spare time, but don't want to reinvent the wheel :)

I would appreaciate sensor support also, currently I have the 'teleperiod' set to 60 seconds so tasmota publishes the state of the sensor once per minute.

That will be the missing the only missing part.
All my sonoff are already on Tasmota. It will be great if sensor could be implemented. I may help with my limited knowledge if I see how is made the first one.

A PR adding sensor support would be most welcome

You can have a look at my latest pull request that adds basic Temperature and Humidity sensor support. Note that if you have only one sensor, you can configure it in Domoticz menu of Tasmota

Example configuration for SmartSocket:
