Discovery on managing edxapp configuration-sync

• Possible copies of the Django setting config:
  • The k8s config
  • ansible vars (does this need go away in k8s, or can it use the same yaml settings)?
  • remote-config yaml settings.
• What is the strategy to ensure these are always in sync?
• Will k8s config changes automatically make it to the same environments as remote-config changes?
  • If not, do we need to disable hermes, or make any other kinds of changes?
  • What is the long-term plan to get out settings changes quickly? How does this work for existing k8s services, and how long does this take? Is it automated, or does it require manual intervention?
