A random check of the content showed, that the

  • URLs of the documents in old and new project differ, which makes it hard to compare old and new content.
  • Also the content displayed differs:
As on the old site, just a headline of my random sample was displayed, the new site shows a huge document.
I'm confused, which version is to considered as the right one.

Below, two random examples:

New content 1:
http://localhost:8080/exist/apps/sarit-pm/works/arunadatta-sarvangasundara.xml?root=1.3.4.2content-new

Old content 1:
http://showcases.exist-db.org/exist/apps/sarit/works/arunadatta-sarvangasundara.xml_1.3.4.2.html
content-old

New content 2:
http://localhost:8080/exist/apps/sarit-pm/works/arunadatta-sarvangasundara.xml?root=1.3.4.2.1.3.3&odd=sarit.odd&view=div
new-2

Old content 2:

old-2

The algorithm which determines the content to be displayed on a page has changed and needs to be revised. This is why the pages differ. We definitely need to find a better approach here. Maybe use the actual page breaks for those documents which contain that information in the TEI.

The URLs have changed as well, though only minor: the target id is not encoded in a parameter instead of the file name.
