This would be great, does it really need iOS 16?
I would even love to run it on an old iPad mini 3 i have or iPod touch

Unfortunately the API's used do not support going that far back. Maybe I could get it to support 15...definitely not promising anything with that though. Is iOS 13 the latest version the devices you mentioned can run on?

Unfortunately no, the mini I have (and I’m not even sure it would run an iPhone app) only goes up to 12.5.7, but I’m willing to fork for the next model, iPad mini 4, that one goes up to 15.8.2. Mini 5 and 6 are way too expensive for me, and I’m looking on eBay… oh well.
still loving the app on the phone but I wanted something to mount on the printer and act as a replacement for the dated lcd

I'll take a look and see how much I would have to change to get it to support iOS 15.
