How to fetch an already existing DID and update it ?

Hello,

We are using ion.js library and are able to create DID and resolve it on DID resolver.

I am trying to follow the ion-tools example code, the update operation proceeds after creating a new DID. I am having difficulty in figuring out on how to fetch the already existing did before proceeding with the update operation.

Few other questions :

1. How is updateCommitment and recoveryCommitment calculated in the operation request object (example) before it can be published on ION node.
2. After creation of DID, how the SDK makes sure that we are the owners of DID?

Could someone please guide me on above questions ?
