related: all issues associated with updating the bolognese gem in the repositories listed below. These must be done right away.

Merging this requires the following to be updated to use the latest bolognese gems:

• lupo
• orcid_client
• volpino - uses the orcid_client
• poodle
• levriero
• cirneco ??
• kishu ??

This can be merged February 27, 2024.
