Subject: [Lbrc-devel] Preparing the next release
Message-ID: <1221324724.11979.2.camel@enterprise.glx>
Hello,
I'll try to get the next release out as fast as possible. So please test
the svn version and report any bugs you find.
This release will prepare a rework of the config utility, to make it
more userfriendly.
So if you have bugs that need fixing -- this is the time to tell.
Greetings
Matthias

You'll have to provide more info:
* Which linux distribution do you use?
* How did you install LBRC (Package, Source, ...)?
* Run "LBRC-applet --debug" and provide the _complete_ output
* if this does not produce any output, run "LBRC-dbus --debug" and
again the complete output please
At least for ubuntu there is a known bug, that causes a problem that
sound suspicously like your problem.
Greetings

I think your were biten by the mentioned bug in Hardy:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bluez-utils/+bug/227429
There is a solution presented - whether that works in a stable manner:
no idea ;-)
Greetings
Matthias

Subject: [Lbrc-devel] 0.6.3 was releases - Grab it while its hot
Message-ID: <1221940150.21959.14.camel@enterprise.glx>
Hello all,
I put a new release (0.6.3) of LBRC on berlios and also put the
announcement on freshmeat. So you should also note, that 0.6.3 is out.
There were quite a few changes in svn. There were two pretty fatal
errors fixed and quite a few commits just to clean the code.
Here a brief changelog:
* Fix typo in DBUSCaller rendering it unusable
* Fix type in CommandExecutorCommand rendering CommandExecutor useless
* Massive cleanups of the code and generalisation of functionality
* Add XInput Module, making use of the XTest Extension to better inject KeyPresses
* Create smaller j2me part (by obfuscation)
* Make j2me part create a list of pre known devices without scanning first
* Make j2me part more rebust with respect to the device search
* better debug output for the listenes modules (colbrac)
* make setup.py clean-up after itself (colbrac)
* fix debian versions (colbrac)
* add MANIFEST.in for easy source package creation (colbrac)
* switch applet to use logging framework and suppress irritating warnings when using LBRC-applet
Plans for the future are:
* further cleanup of the code,
* change of the config gui to present the user a more straight
forward way to configure LBRC (get away from the seperate tabs
for each handler and switch to a seperation by init, action and
destruct tabs. In the action tab you get one entry per phone
keycode.
* add a action library (consisting of a description and an
handler/options tuple)
Greetings
Matthias
