That's a cool automation you described for your peek electric billing. I'm glad the integration is working well for you :) You don't have to give any $, but if you want to there is a coffee link in the readme. |

I am new to HA, and was able to do all I wanted to with this integration. I do have a technical background, but no HA experience and was able to get it working in a few hours.
Any one else thinks this is a game changer? Show your appreciation and take the poll!
A little more on my experience with HA Carrier integration :
It saved me the trouble of integrating with the Carrier API from scratch. Short of the Alexa integration, which is pretty much useless in terms of home automation, and the Infinitude HA integration that requires obsolete firmware, this is simply the best integration. Full disclosure, I haven't tried it the HomeBridge / HomeKit integration.
I live in a cold climate and the amazing Carrier green speed heat pump is helping to keep costs down. In order to get greater savings, I have to lower my energy consumption during exceptional electricity demand peeks. With a simple 30 lines AWS lambda which detect demand peeks using public api from my utility company (HQ), I expose it through the API gateway and then I get the the info using HA RestFul Sensor integration, and then HA changes my HVAC settings accordingly, through this integration.
@dahlb : I don't know how to thank you enough. Since I switched to HA, I have a brand new Amazon Echo Dot to give away, and maybe a Smart Things Hub too :) lol. Do you accept contribution$ ?
