Featured image and posts not showing up

I am unable to get the featured image and a list of posts to show up, I copied the example sites posts section after a while and have featuredposts set to true within the config toml. I've tried having the config file in the archetypes file and outside of it. I'm using server -d and am able to access posts on the website path or have them as a second page.
