During a ramalama pull command, the progress bar causes high CPU load in the process responsible for the Linux terminal (e.g. tmux or the terminal itself).

Possible solutions:

  • Reduce progress update rate
  • Add a -q/--quiet option for the ramalama pull subcommand.

Showing update progress in 1 kiB blocks adds unnecessary overhead.
100 kiB or even 1 MiB should be sufficient.
