Die ursprüngliche Fehlermeldung (Code 0001002D "The pump counter reached the prescribed upper limit") konnte ich dauerhaft beseitigen.

Schwarz – Grau ("light black") – Hellgrau ("light light black") – Cyan – Cyan hell – Magenta – Magenta hell - Gelb

  • Epson T563900 / T6039 - Light Light Black
  • Epson T563500 / T6035 - Light Cyan
  • Epson T563700 / T6037 - Light Black
  • Epson T563200 / T6032 - Cyan

Original-Epson Tinten sind sehr teuer (€120 / 220ml Patrone).
Easy-inks.de stellt kompatible Tinten her (€28 / 220ml).

I have created a wiki page at: https://wiki.comakingspace.de/EPSON_Stylus_Pro_7800
It includes the Machine Infobox as well as the commissioning template.

The commissioning template indicates the steps, which are needed to bring the new machine into a released state :) What can be done by everybody is mainly the documentation.

Regarding Wifi Printing, etc.: If you like, we can offer a Raspberry Pi for setting up CUPS. Compatibility would need to be checked (Stylus Pro 7000 & 7500 seem to be compatible - so we could try the 7800 as well). Setting up CUPS might be a good option, since we could then use the same raspberry pi also for our second large format printer (HP DesignJet 500)), which as far as I know is CUPS compatible.

Ja.

Does CUPS support custom colour profiles (printer profile, paper profiles etc?)
If so, then this could be an option.

I am not sure, whether CUPS supports custom color profiles. I know that CUPS has support for selecting standard color profiles (I think I read something about Adobe RGB & sRGB), but I don´t know whether you can define your own ones. Since I have no clue about color profiles at all, that would be something the person setting it up would need to research on.

The ink has been ordered and should arrive soon™️

Since you have mentioned writing an introduction as a ToDo:
Usually, we have introductions, which are focussing on safety. Mainly safety for the user, but there are also introductions with a stronger focus on machine operations. For devices that are close to household devices (such as printers), we usually don´t have an introduction. In these cases, we expect the people to read the wiki thoroughly, but we don´t require a formal introduction.

What we cannot judge yet is how close this printer is to a household printer and how significant the actual danger (either for the operator or the machine) is. However, it is quite obvious that there is content which needs to be documented in the wiki. The only question is whether we require formal tutoring or not.

Thus, let´s document it in the wiki. Once it is done, we can decide, whether we will require formal tutoring or not 😊
