  • Reach: We reach 500-1000 learners each year

  • Community: Total number of messages in our open chat: 92844

  • Nordic-RSE: Yearly un-conference. First in-person conference in 2024.

  • International connections: We get invited to conference workshops and BoFs, and asked for endorsements

  • GitLab: Over 288 active users, 226 groups, with over 390 active projects

High-level question to the NeIC Board

NeIC can be a career-growth opportunity and a project incubator. NeIC already has the community and a critical size for this.

How can we get the local/line management (who allocates people to budgets and sets priorities) behind this? It is the line management that often decides what staff should focus on.
