Extract disease status metadata from Cellarium output

Hi Cellarium Team,

Thanks for making an interesting tool! I am using the public beta version of Cellarium, and am currently working through the quickstart_turorial.ipynb. I am interested in extracting additional metadata, such as disease status, for cells similar to my single cell dataset. I read on https://cellarium-cas.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ this capability will be implemented in future iterations. Is this possible at the moment? Me and my lab would be very interested in this information!

On another note, I've found the tutorial and workflow to be very straight forward.

Hi @pamedina! We are excited to hear that you are using CAS. Based on the feedback that we got from you and other users, we will prioritize implementing the feature for extracting additional metadata, in particular, disease. I am, too, curious to see how this approach might work as a disease classifier -- e.g. would it be able to highlight disease-associated cell states? I will keep you posted.
