I've been trying to create a self replicating virus but it copies "[NOTHING]" into memory. Though the funny thing is that an RLG codon got loose in the environment & actually created new 5 codon viruses, which unfortunately didn't make it to the second generation, but it was amazing. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

What arrangement of codons did you have? I haven't (and can't really) try to do this, but maybe it's just because you tried to read with the hand pointing outwards instead of inwards

Here are some self replicating ones:

Basic Virus Factory: 46-11-22-33-11-22-0a0-4a0-46-5704-60 (CTRL + V in Cell editor)
no cell work Virus: 0a0-4a0-46-5704-60-7a0
0a0-4a0-46-5706-0a1-60-7a1 V2
0a0-4a0-46-5705-60-77AA V3
Throw out factory: 0a0-4a0-46-5706-60-28-77BB

I Highly recommend this fork (because copy pasta):
