Continued context across notes solution/workflow?

I'm looking to use ChatGPT as a coach that gives feedback on my journal @ the end of each day, but also at the end of the week to identify slightly longer-term patterns.

I can't figure out how to continue that chat context across notes in Obsidian. I've tried asking the bot to recall a convo we had in the past using the note name, as well as the topic discussed, but no dice so far. I've used Shell GPT and was able to make references to separate chats, so I know it's a thing but maybe it varies based on the platform?

My current workflow uses daily notes via Periodic Notes & Templater and so far I can think of two solutions:

1. Copy/paste all of my notes into a single doc at the end of the week & then review that w/ chatgpt, but that sounds like trash.
2. Transition from individual daily notes -> a weekly template doc that has a header for each individual day. I think I'd include a 'Chat GPT' header after every day, so that I can talk to chatgpt daily, but also collapse the convos for brevity's sake when not in use.

Curious to hear if anyone has any existing solutions, workarounds or workflows to achieve the intended goal.

Maybe someone knows the answer to this alternatively:

Does frontmatter apply to all notes, or only new chats? In other words, if I ask a question to ChatGPT the end of an existing note, will the front-matter be taken into account, or only when I create a new chat?
