unable to send or receive

After all the intermediate level programming involved, I have a very basic problem. I suspect a simple solution but just can't see it! I run a rooted nexus 6p on cyanogenmod 13.0 angler. I'm trying to communicate with my wifes iphone 4s running ios 9.something. We can imessage mac to iphone and back but messages are not sending or receiving via pie message. Any messages I send from piemessage are not saving in the conversations list. My mac is permanently on as a server. Any ideas??

there are many of the same issues filed already. the ports need to be forwarded. have a look at the other issues. but since the last commit receiving doesn't work behind a firewall.

I added my computer to the dmz list for my router and I'm still not able to send or receive.
Also I disabled the firewall but still nothings working.

Same here. I've port forwarded 5000 as well and still get nothing going and receiving. (however if I use the imessage app straight forward I can see the send and receive's

Exactly the same issue here. Both terminal commands are running, Port forwarded, messages.applescript is in place, Android app has same IP as public IP, which was edited in the Constants.java. Followed it to a T and getting nothing.
