Hi Biafra & Co,

I've been trying now for a while to process .avi files from miniscope recordings and I am not managing to get a proper comparibility with Ciatah. I've used ciatah for inscopix movies for a long time and everything works fine, from preprocessing to data extraction, but I cannot manage to make the preprocessing work for avi files.

The steps I have used are the following:

  1. Preprocess: Spatial downsampling to convert .avi to h5: works.
  2. Preprocess: motion correction, dfof.. cannot get a movie out.

I believe it could be an issue with nomenclature of the movies /1, /2 but i don't fully understand this..

Could you please help me out?

Thanks

@arnauramos1 Thanks for reaching out, glad to hear CIAtah's been working well for you.

Looks like CIAtah is loading the spatially downsampled H5 movie fine and running each of the preprocessing steps.

During the initial analysis step selection screen, did you select any steps to save out the files (e.g. see below)? Looks based on the log that those options might not have been selected.

Hi Biafra,
Sorry for my very late answer.
Yes, I did select that option.
I have tied many different options for preprocessing steps in combination with extraction (extract, cnmfe) but I just don't seem to manage to have ciatah run smoothly.. At this point I wonder whether there might be some issue with my recordings. Could you maybe have a look at it? this is one of my example recordings:

Thanks in advance
