I have noticed that the network traffic graph when set to auto sizes the entire graph based only on the traffic received in the last 5-10 seconds. Even if the graph is a full minute wide. This means that spikes of 10 or 20 megabits/s are resized totally off the graph if the traffic in the last five seconds is on the order of a few kilibits/s. The entire left 90% of the graph becomes useless.
