Is your display using X11 or Wayland? |

Can you share the log file? |
Thanks. I cannot see anything unusual in the log. Maybe your JRE is corrupted. I tested Java 11 on Kali with the following steps below. Can you duplicate?
Usually I run JRE 17 with no issues on my system. If the above still causes an error, can you post another log then try with Java 17? |
I will try that, i was running kali off a live usb but now i imaged that usb and im using it in vmware workstation and the issue is still there |
I was also having this issue. However, when I held libgtk2.0-0, libgtk2.0-bin, libgtk2.0-common, libgtk-3-0, libgtk-3-bin, libgtk-3-common, libgtk-4-1, libgtk-4-bin and libgtk-4-common from upgrading before running apt full-upgrade, it seemed to work and not throw any errors. It's a short term solution atleast for myself. |
I'm also getting this with Apache Directory Studio (eclipse based), so this probably is a framework issue. |
