There are many circumstances where a developer wishes to deploy to an existing Amplify app, instead if creating a new one. It is a supported case of amplify-cli. Additionally, the inclusion of an appid parameter would enable this action to behave similarly to the Autobuild functionality provided in the console, but with more flexibility and no Github authentication requirements.
