No GUI from alvr_launcher, Ubuntu 21.04 (PopOS)

Hey all,
I'm trying the latest, 18.2.1, both the apk on my oculus quest 2 and the alvr_launcher on my PC, which is running a Ubuntu variant, PopOS, 21.04.

However, when I run alvr_launcher, I get a dialog open, Steam runs, the dialog disappears, and SteamVR opens up, with "Searching for headset".
When I put on my oculus quest 2, it says "Click "Trust" on PC". However, I have no GUI or application from ALVR on my desktop. There is NO GUI.
So there is no way to trust the headset or do anything with it. I don't see errors in my shell -- below is the output:

You must have Chrome or a Chromium/Chromium based browser installed (Brave doesn't work IIRC)
