CIS 4319. COMPUTER NETWORKS AND COMMUNICATIONS. 4 CREDIT HOURS. This course is not offered every Fall. Introduction to computer networks and communications. Local and wide area networks. Network topology and routing. Internet and ISO protocols. Applications including remote procedure calls, remote logon, and file transfer. Network operating systems. NOTE: For Computer Science Majors.

For any CIS prerequisite course taken prior to Spring 2012 a grade of C or better is required.

Repeatability: This course may not be repeated for additional credits.

Pre-requisites: (CIS 3207|Minimum Grade of C-|May not be taken concurrently) AND (CIS 2166|Minimum Grade of C-|May not be taken concurrently)
