Yes, it's really just a decoration, but for things like:

Graphitti/Simulator/Vertices/Neuro/AllIFNeurons.h

Lines 86 to 87 in 2915062

    
           virtual void advanceVertices(AllEdges &synapses, void *allVerticesDevice, void *allEdgesDevice,

overridden methods should be marked override
