Customize the Fields & Processes

As a starter with this kind of Integration I was curious how to synch custom fields for example.

I was able to install and deploy everything and now I wan't to make sure that the custom Person Account fields are synched as well. Is it done automatically or what do I need to change/add where. Can you help?

@freytagt Are you referring to the mapping definitions between Commerce Cloud and Service Cloud? If yes, you can find that in 'Custom Metadata Types' --> B2C Integration Field Mapping --> B2C Customer Profile Mappings
You can define push and consume updates from both platforms as part of configurations.

So basically just create a new record for the B2C Integration Field Mapping Custom Metadata Type and fill in the right field information. Perfect thanks!

One clarification is that this solution is only applicable if you wish to match custom attributes from Profile on Commerce Cloud and Contact on the Core side. This solution will not work if you have any other object on the Core side, which custom attribute should map with Profile on the Commerce Cloud side.

@olegforce I think I'm running into this issue when trying to map a field to an Account object in Salesforce. We're using person accounts and have some custom fields living on the Account object instead of the Contact record. cc: @jbachelet

Is there any work around for this?

EDIT: Looks like there is an enhancement request here #54 for Account object mapping which is exactly what I need.
