AtliQ Hardware Business Insights 360 Power BI Dashboard Project

Problem Statement

Welcome to the AtliQ Hardware Business Insights 360 Power BI project! This initiative explores the business operations of AtliQ Hardware, a fictional global consumer electronics company. Despite its rapid growth, the company struggled with inefficient Excel-based data analysis, resulting in significant financial losses, particularly in the Latin American market. To overcome this challenge, AtliQ’s leadership team launched a dedicated data analytics project to streamline operations and enhance decision-making.

  • Analysis Period: 5 years (from September 1, 2017, to August 31, 2022)
  • Data Volume: Approximately 18.5 million rows
  • Database Structure: Star and Snowflake Schema
  • Fiscal Year: September to August

Importing Data into Power BI

The project’s database is MySQL, and to import the datasets into Power BI, follow these steps:

  1. Database Access: Ensure you have the required credentials to access the MySQL database.
  2. Import Data:
    • Open Power BI Desktop.
    • Select Get Data > MySQL Database.
    • Provide the database credentials (server, database name, username, password).
    • Choose the necessary tables and load them into Power BI for analysis.

Dashboard Design Process

The dashboard will be built based on design mockups and requirements. As the design evolves, various metrics, calculations, and measures will be added to generate insightful visualizations.

Home View

The Home View is the central hub of the dashboard, providing easy access to different sections and insights. Users can navigate to:

  • Info: Overview and general information.
  • Finance View: Financial data and key metrics.
  • Sales View: Sales performance and analysis.
  • Marketing View: Marketing data and KPIs.
  • Supply Chain View: Insights into supply chain performance.
  • Executive View: High-level overview for executives.
  • Support: Customer support metrics.

Dashboard Views

🏠 Home Page

The Home Page serves as the main navigation point, allowing users to access various sections of the dashboard and view key insights quickly.

📊 Finance View

This view integrates financial data, focusing on essential KPIs like Net Sales, Gross Margin %, and Net Profit %. It also includes a profit and loss matrix that highlights the top and bottom-performing products and customers based on new sales figures.

📊 Sales View

In this view, sales performance is analyzed across products, regions, and customers. Key metrics such as Gross Margin % and Net Sales % are compared across markets, regions, and previous years, with targets for each metric.

📊 Marketing View

The Marketing View evaluates the effectiveness of campaigns, analyzing sales trends, customer behavior, and promotional strategies. Product performance is presented through metrics such as Gross Margin % and Net Profit %.

📊 Supply Chain View

This view provides an in-depth analysis of inventory management, procurement, and logistics, helping identify areas for optimization and improved efficiency in the supply chain.

📊 Executive View

The Executive View offers a high-level summary of KPIs, providing executives with real-time data to support strategic decision-making.
