I'm wondering if having a whole "track" is biting off a bit more than we can chew, at least for a first year of pwnbrew participation @ Thotcon.
Right now we are thinking of presenting:
A Gallery Show
Talks
Workshops
A/V performances
I'm sort of of the opinion that maybe we should stick w/ Gallery Show and A/V performances at the closing party for the first year, and then if all goes well, perhaps scale the following year? But I want to open that up to discussion here.
I also am somewhat ambivalent about asking too much from Thotcon right away. Maybe I'm being timid, but I feel a little weird asking them if we can do a whole second mini-conference at Thotcon out of the blue. I think that is something that would be AWESOME, but I wonder if it is better to build a relationship w/ them this year and then look to include Talks && Workshops etc once we've established that relationship.

hey @brannondorsey i agree ( generally ), i put all those diff sections there for 2 reasons:
we had talked about all these diff sorts of sections in the meeting, so i didn't want to make a judgment call myself as to which where the "best" && instead figured we could flesh them out && then maybe discuss which seemed the most feasible/xciting
we had also talked about proposing this to THOTCON as "here's the diff formats we have xperience organizing... of these, which are u interested in?" ...&& we'd let them decide. that said, i could understand if folks thought it was a better strategy to present only specific sections for one reason or another.
all-in-all, i agree that the ideal situation would be not to do all of these but only some ( for the reasons u mention && others ) && my vote would also be for Gallery + A/V performances
