We should have some ability in the UI or filter by 'active' certificates e.g. any certificates that have not been replaced or superceeded by another certificate.

You have the basic idea. Basically when a cert gets replaced by another, whether it's done via clone/new cert/reissue/revoke, I think the old cert should no longer be presented in the UI. Or at a minimum, have an indicator as being deprecated/replaced so that a user will know to pick/use the most recent version.

The older certs should still be searchable incase the users needs to go back and view/download it for some reason.

I'm more than happy to help out testing various filters. What would you need help with? I don't have any angular experience (yet), mostly emberjs.
