I would like to analyze the BLER performance of multi-data streams when a precoder is applied.
My main concern is that since the MCS is identical across all data streams, and the precoder causes the effective SINR to vary per stream, the BLER might "messed up."
For example:
If I apply an SVD precoder at the transmitter, each data channel will experience different SINR values based on the singular values. The data stream corresponding to the largest singular value will enjoy a higher SINR, while the stream linked to the smallest singular value will experience poor SINR.
My questions:
Do you have any power normalization methods to address this imbalance?
If not, would it be acceptable to assume the total transmit power is normalized to 1?
Thanks in advance for your input! 😊
