Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

The timeline generator of the GPU plan is an old feature in the core tools.
This feature is not used as the tools scope evolved. It is representing a maintenance overhead whenever we have a major fix because we try to maintain the feature working.

Unless there is really a clear need for this feature, I suggest removing the code and this feature.
