Overview

During the DSO Project, study participants will be introduced to 2 software prototypes based on indicators and insights from ongoing research and literature review. This ticket represents the start of an ongoing process to ship 2 Android prototypes.

In this heartbeat, we will

  • produce some ideas and sketches that will contribute to the hackathon we'll be having at the end of the month (April 29),
  • after the hackathon, acclimate a contractor fro iHub with the project, and
  • begin building the first Android prototype.

Rolling this over to next milestone as work continues. Hackathon was held with at least 5 ideas: https://mozilla-foundation-research.herokuapp.com/tamasha-hack/

Working on summary, and moving this forward with the "DSO Software Group": MozillaFoundation/digital-skills-observatory#149

Flopping this over to June 3.

  • Still need some design help. @flukeout did an awesome job getting us off the ground, but we still need a designer to be around to fill in the gaps when he leaves. Likely @kristinashu?
  • @alanmoo is super rad, and generally useful at his current level of engagement in the project. He can remain part of our weekly calls if he wishes, but it's not essential (no harm intended), and he doesn't need to write any code. When our iHub contractor, @brianmwadime has some code drawn out for us, the community can review & test (because people like @Obadha, @xelawafs, @TheBonface, and @icarius06 are great contributors). We will request @alanmoo's further assistance there if needed.

Adding some new items to the deadlines checklist above.
