Use Cases

The primary intended user is for anyone living in a home with multiple levels, and as we have previously
discussed that is going to be the majority of Americans at some point in their life. Below are just a
few
examples of people where the best option for them is something that they don't have to think about
constantly cleaning the whole house.

Situation 1 - Modern couple, Fast pace lives, Tall house

Priyanka and Aisha are two early thirty year old young professionals that just moved in together. They
both
work in DC, Aisha spends her days working as an event planning executive, that sometimes requires her to
also be out at night all over the city. Priyanka is an independent contractor that takes photography and
edits videos with a home office and shared space office, making her hours as unpredictable as her
partner
Aisah. In their price range, and with the hopes of building a family, they have moved into a beautiful
four
story townhouse in Alexandria, VA (See Figure 3).

Aisha is bringing her rescue cat, Mushabeen, from college that sheds on everything all year. Priyanka
has a
pet hair allergy, and if they are ever going to be able to live together, and to make sure that Priyanka
is
not always vacuuming up the house they need to find a solution that can clean all the floors, while they
are
both out of the house. Their current solutions are to either hire a cleaning crew to come into the house
daily, or to get an autonomous vacuum for each floor. Both have a high price, and the second option
takes up
too much space. With an autonomous vacuum that can climb stairs, Priyanka can run the vacuum once a day
before she gets home, and is sure that their home feels, well, like home (See Figure 3).

Situation 2 - Larger rented house, different person on a different floor

Thomas, George, and Dylan have just graduated from college and have just moved to Richmond, VA to begin
the next chapter of their lives. Thomas works as a tour guide for the historical sites around Richmond.
Dylan is an accountant working for the Goldman Sachs office in Richmond. George is starting a non-profit
company that helps to bring food to people with food insecurity in DC. They are each renting a floor in
one of the historical buildings in the center of Richmond, the building was built in the 1920’s and
needs to be constantly cleaned or ants and mice find their way in. Plus, Thomas’s parents have just sold
his child home and have made his responsible for their Pug Franky, and Dylan is coming into the house
with the dog, Oliver, that he won from his recent breakup.

While all three of them love dogs, and Franky and Oliver are now best friends, they are tight on space
and are looking for a way to minimize the amount of stuff that they each have. Their current solutions
are to each have their own cleaning supplies and to make a chore chart for any common space. Other
option is to have only one set of cleaning supplies and find time to split the supplies or go into each
others rooms to clean the floor. Their best option is to all to chip in for an autonomous stair climbing
vacuum that turns on once a day, cleans up the dog hair, keeps the mice and ants out, and each floor
clean without invading each other's privacy (See Figure 3).
