This pull request fixes #349.

The changes fully implement the requested Poison tag functionality with all necessary components:

  1. A properly defined PoisonTag type with appropriate attributes including:
  • Percentage-based calculation
  • Round-based duration (1-10 rounds)
  • Offensive direction
  • Clear description of functionality
  1. A complete poison tag implementation that:
  • Tracks Chakra and Stamina usage by the target
  • Calculates percentage-based damage from those resource costs
  • Applies the damage each round the effect is active
  • Properly integrates with the existing damage system
  1. Full integration into the combat system through:
  • Addition to AllTags union type
  • Proper typing and validation
  • Consistent implementation with other similar effects

The implementation matches the original requirements by creating a round-based tag that deals percentage damage based on Chakra and Stamina usage. The code is properly structured, typed, and integrated into the existing system. The functionality will work as intended, applying poison damage proportional to the target's resource usage over multiple rounds.

There are 3 ways to chat with CodeRabbit:

  • Review comments: Directly reply to a review comment made by CodeRabbit. Example:
    • I pushed a fix in commit <commit_id>, please review it.
    • Generate unit testing code for this file.
    • Open a follow-up GitHub issue for this discussion.
  • Files and specific lines of code (under the "Files changed" tab): Tag @coderabbitai in a new review comment at the desired location with your query. Examples:
    • @coderabbitai generate unit testing code for this file.
    • @coderabbitai modularize this function.
  • PR comments: Tag @coderabbitai in a new PR comment to ask questions about the PR branch. For the best results, please provide a very specific query, as very limited context is provided in this mode. Examples:
    • @coderabbitai gather interesting stats about this repository and render them as a table. Additionally, render a pie chart showing the language distribution in the codebase.
    • @coderabbitai read src/utils.ts and generate unit testing code.
    • @coderabbitai read the files in the src/scheduler package and generate a class diagram using mermaid and a README in the markdown format.
    • @coderabbitai help me debug CodeRabbit configuration file.

Note: Be mindful of the bot's finite context window. It's strongly recommended to break down tasks such as reading entire modules into smaller chunks. For a focused discussion, use review comments to chat about specific files and their changes, instead of using the PR comments.

Based on the provided information, here's a concise overview:

✅ Successfully Resolved:

  • Type safety issues with accessing cost data
  • Proper implementation of type guards for data property checks
  • Correct access path for chakra and stamina cost values
  • Build errors related to TypeScript type checking

The changes appear to have fully resolved the original issues while maintaining the intended functionality of the poison damage calculation system. No remaining issues are mentioned or apparent from the information provided.

The solution seems complete and properly implemented, with appropriate type safety measures in place.

Overview of Changes:

  • Added type narrowing checks before using 'in' operator
  • Ensures actionEffect.data is a non-null object
  • Preserves original poison damage calculation logic

Status: ✅ Successfully Resolved
