It's still the red icon. I'm using elementary os loki 0.4. I restarted both megasync and wingpanel, but it doesn't seem to work.

Confirm. It doesn't change for me too on elementary os Loki 0.4.

I don't know if someone fixed it, but at least it's working for me now
