Using the Gender Development Index public data, create an interactive Web tool to explore, filter, visualize and update the information concerning the disparities between women and men in three basic dimensions of human development: health, knowledge and living standards. In conjunction to DBpedia and/or Wikidata, various queries of interest – e.g., the map of European states offering at least 13 years of schooling for females versus males, plus info about the most important universities in these areas – could be performed via a SPARQL endpoint. Each item of interest concerning life expectancy, schooling, gross national income will be modeled via specific schema.org constructs and correlated to other available datasets – examples: Gapminder World for different statistical information regarding the world, Eurostat for the European countries, Awesome Women In The Open-Source Community for the Computer Science domain, European Social Survey for insights concerning the European citizens.
