2. Define OrgUnit Groups

Objectives:

  • Learn how to structure and customize Organizational Unit Groups and Group Sets for DHIS2

  • Learn best practices in creating Org. Units

Assignment overview:

In this assignment, you will reorganize your organizational hierarchy along a dimension other than geographical location. This is useful for reflecting additional hierarchy dimensions that an organization may use to categorize its' OrgUnits. Group Sets represents the dimension or variable, and Group represents the level or category type along the dimension.

Where to work:

You will be working in the curriculum workbook sheet "2. Define OrgUnit Groups"

Instructions:

Structuring Groups and Group Sets

  1. Work in the OrgUnit Groups worksheet.

  2. Create at least one OrgUnit Group Set using the OrgUnit hierarchy created in the previous assignment.

  3. Assign all facilities to a Group in this Group Set.

  4. You can create as many more Groups and Group Sets as you like.

** Important - DO NOT assign an OrgUnit to multiple Groups within a single Group Set.**
