The migrant system is pretty unused, and could reasonably be deleted. I'd recommend attaching it to the late join screen similarly to bandits, but that might get messy. |
Yeah, I'm both trying to give Garrison something to do, and give the genuinely interesting migrant system some more love. Would be nice to have a ghost roles menu or something similar... |

not sure how i feel with a zizoid necromancer cleric-mage, their summons are totally going to attack their own raiders unless they have the cabel's faction and cause confusion for newbies to the role. Until you can command lesser undead as a zizoid cleric like a lich can their own lessers, it'll ruin RP scenes as they'll just bumrush people. Rituos is going to give them far, far too many spellpoints to the point they'll out-talent the court-magos somehow, if they pull it off with a few delimbs to speed it up since it stacks onto pre-existing stats and spellpoints if you have them. maybe give em a unique class as a spellcasting, a la' barber doc? instead of a cleric-spellcaster.. the idea of casting fetch/repel to grab patients from a fight and toss them back in is funny. I'd give all of the migrants a choice between any of the inhuman, they'd all have a reasoning to serve any of such gods. give all of them Graggar's annointment mark trait. regardless of patron, makes em fitting for a might makes right raiding party of barbarians. Lets them do some RP with Graggarites whom need some love for antagonistic interactions. |

Combining feedback given, I’ll be splitting the shaman into two characters, and reducing the grinning champion to one character. in particular, I’ll be making the shaman into a dedicated caster, dropping its miracles outside of the calcic blast, which scales off of arcyne the second character will be the baothan witch doctor, who will get minor miracles and medical skill to keep the party alive. I will be putting a pin in this PR for the time being with the college semester starting up soon |
any chance of tossing them the barbarian combat musicks. give em a tiny something unique for the feels when it devolves to combat. |
About The Pull Request
Adds a set of antagonistic migrants, specifically Gronnic raiders.
1 Gronnic Chieftain. Matthiosan patron, acts as the leader
1 Gronnic Shaman. Zizoan patron, acts as the spellcaster
2 Gronnic Champions. Basic bruisers
Fluffwise it was a significantly larger expedition, but they took plenty of casualties going by foot raiding hammerhold. This is all that remains.
Why It's Good For The Game
People want conflict. Men-At-Arms stagnate. Royal Guards decay. And many peoples only job is "Wait for someone to act antagonistic and swarm them. Thus, I provide. On the flipside, given the heavy attrition of the Gronnic Warband, they might be open to negotiations...
