Create a Discord Bot

Mc2Discord need a Discord Bot account to work (account with BOT next to the name). To create one, follow theses steps:

1: Create a new application

Go to discord developers portal

Create a new application

Give your application a name. It will appear in your member list

Confirm the creation

2: Give a profile picture to your Bot

Set the Bot profile picture

(Optional) Set the Bot About Me section

Apply the change

Open the Bot menu

3: Transform the application in Bot account

Add a Bot account to the application

Confirm the creation

4: Configure the Bot

(Optional) Disable Public Bot so only you can invite your Bot to new server

Enable Server Member Intent

Enable Message Content Intent

Apply the changes

Reset the Bot token

5: Get the bot token

Copy the Bot token. This is what you need to paste in the config file.

⚠️ A token is equivalent to a password: Never share it!
Anyone with it can connect as the bot!
