I have the same machine.. same wireless card.. and SSD, but I am getting errors.. can you help me? #3
Comments
Do you have any information about the error? like what error you have encountered? and the kernel panic screen, logs, your EFI folder, configuration? (If any) |
Machine: Lenovo X1 Carbon 6th Gen, Machine 20KH002HUS Thunderbolt Controller | Intel Alpine Ridge DSL6540 Thunderbolt 3 NHI ( where do I confirm this?) |
the bold are the difference.. everything is the same.. I am confirming the rest of the spec. |
download Mojave from the App Store on the Mac... made the USB installer using terminal and then Clover using the latest Clover to make the EFI... the error I am getting is the screen shot... |
let me know what else you need... thanks so much!! |
@hexprojectgit p.s. if possible, in the future, please combine the chain into one message. I get notified about each message separately |
The solution is to switch to full hotpatch (Full SSDT) rather than partial hotpatch (DSDT+some SSDT). I am working on it, once I have finished my work I will update the repository (hopefully within today). Current progress: |
Thanks so much! please let me if you have a donation email, would love to donate for all your help. |
I experience much less ACPI errors on OpenCore (compared to CLOVER), I suggest you moving to OpenCore (The OpenCore config is just uploaded, you may go check it out and give feedback to me :) ) |
download Mojave from App Store, made USB installer using terminal, and EFI from Terminal using diskutil to mount... and then copy entire EFI Folder ( from new uploaded opencore that was uploaded) to EFI that was just mounted... ( I did whole erase from the top level using disk utility before install of the Mojave installer using terminal) when I boot it to USB HDD.. clover boot manager shows up?? but without any hard drive or anything to boot... I put the USB stick on the right side.. which is always power on if that matters... |
Press Esc or Alt button on start up, you will see a boot menu from OpenCore. |
@hexprojectgit Sorry #5 indicates that I have placed a wrong file in EFI/BOOT/, that's why you saw CLOVER boot loader instead of OpenCore loading. I apologize for my careless mistake. |
No wonder I couldn't boot the installer based on your EFI yesterday, will report once I'm done with all the setup |
@Colton-Ko so I used OC the updated files.. but it hangs when I try to make a choice for the list.. and times out and then reboots and cycles... so I couldn't pick choice... so I am not sure what I am doing wrong... that's for the regular EFI as well as for 1820A modem config.plist file... .. I downloaded and replace and rename the EFI in OC? or do I do that after POST? the error is in the picture... but both config.plist files that I use gives me the same error.. |
