We should consider switching to FreeSimpleGUI, it is a drop-in replacement.

temporary workaround: use --extra-index-url https://PySimpleGUI.net/install with pip install. see https://pypi.org/project/PySimpleGUI/

Edit: this worked locally but not in gh actions.
