What happened?

Describe the bug
When both NoScript and SingleFile are activated on Waterfox browser, the browser tab may crash.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install Waterfox browser
  2. Install and activate NoScript and SingleFile
  3. Log in to protonmail.com and click some e-mail
  4. When loading the content of the mail, the grey bars loading animation is being shown for an unusual long time and then the browser tab may crash. This happens, I think, in at least 30% of the cases.

Expected behavior
The mail content should be displayed.

Environment

Additional context

  • I am using a few addons (installed are Adguard adblocker, NoScript, Privacy Badger, ClearURLs, Cookie AutoDelete, UBlock Origin) and have tested this behaviour by deactivating/reactivating them until only SingleFile and NoScript were active when the crash described happened. It does not happen anymore if only SingleFile is activated.
  • Protonmail may only be an example where the issue is very present.
  • I am also using Firefox (135.0.1) with both addons (and many others) activated and did not notice any crashes there, so I assume the issue might be limited to Waterfox browser.

Reproducible?

  • I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox.
