Absolutely a great direction to link to Google Scholar - especially important for academics (faculty and top students) as well as for industry researchers. Outstanding linkage to make.

The spreadsheet you generated is a 1000x productivity boost for me. I checked a sampling of top contributors to see if I am connecting to them on LinkedIn - if they are 1st, 2nd, or 3rd etc degree connections - for the one's I have checked 60% are 3rd, 30% are 2nd, and 10% are other, with around 2% 1st degree connections - mostly IBMers.

Getting Linkedin via DuckDuckGo, as well as Google Scholar links will help identify who are top influencer as well.

Now to figure out the how to use Excel pivot-tables to get some interesting graphs and pie charts. Onward and upward - many thanks again Augustina.

It looks like Google doesn't provide an API so I would have to do some scraping... buuut I did find a script someone wrote to basically do the same thing: https://github.com/ckreibich/scholar.py

I have done this sort of thing in Perl but not in Python, so this looks like a possible template for building on for other searches as well.
