Next feature: Volunteer management

The next big feature to build (because it's a feature we can start using now, even when we're not doing rescue ops) is a volunteer management system. Basically, a way to track who's who, what skills they have, what teams they're in and what roles they occupy, etc etc etc.

Could this also be a separate service, possibly a slack bot?

It could be both. It does need to be database-backed, though, and ideally with a front end. SCOT is ideal for that.

Have you checked with Linda? I think she may have been researching / collecting models we could build on? And loop in our new HR guy. Chris G?? (not the map guy, who is also Chris). He may have some thoughts on needed fields, ...
