if u have faced the error :-
ERROR: Loading command: install (LoadError)
no such file to load -- zlib
ERROR: While executing gem ... (NameError)
uninitialized constant Gem::Commands::InstallCommand
rm -rf $rvm_path/usr
rvm requirements
from the result of the above query , just check the under Ruby: heading ,there is a set of libraries mentioned
sudo apt-get install build-essential openssl libreadline6 libreadline6-dev curl git-core zlib1g zlib1g-dev libssl-dev libyaml-dev libsqlite3-dev sqlite3 libxml2-dev libxslt-dev autoconf libc6-dev ncurses-dev automake libtool bison subversion
rvm reinstall 1.9.3

Now just open a fresh terminal
rvm install 1.9.3
rvm list
Till here everything is fine but 'rvm use .. ' will not work
so set the profile preference using the link below
https://rvm.io/integration/gnome-terminal/
then
rvm use 1.9.3
Now everything is fine.
rvm gemset create rails_3.2.2
rvm gemset list

Install Mysql server on Ubuntu
sudo apt-get install mysql-server
During the installation process you will be prompted to enter a password for the MySQL root user.
If you would like to change the MySQL root password, in a terminal enter:
sudo dpkg-reconfigure mysql-server-5.5

Install MySql GUI Tool

u might get a message like
E: Unable to locate package mysql-admin

Access windows 7 shared folders from ubuntu using vmware player
From Virtual Machine settings , click Always enable
and then add the folders u wat to share in Ubuntu

Install Sublime Text 2 on Ubuntu 12.04
Goto http://www.sublimetext.com/2
download the 32 bit version
goto downloads directory
then follow the steps from below link

open a directory as a project by going to path /mnt/hgfs
Open sublime text
Drag the directory onto the sublime window , and it’ll be added to the project. You’ll then be able to browse using the sidebar, and search using Ctrl+P
Next time to add any new project just drag the directory onto the sidebar , and it’ll be added to the project.
Share folders from windows to ubuntu from virtual machine settings
One important thing is that whenever u update ur project folder in windows then u need to go to Project menu and do Refresh Folders to get updated files on sublime.
