As new sets of domains are requested, issues with problematic ancillary pixels are cropping up.

Problematic ancillary pixels can stop models runs.

Model runs can be made to work by modifying the problematic ancillary pixels directly in the model start dump.

I propose to add functionality that "fixes problematic ancillary pixels" to the replace land surface scripts (when working on a start dump files as opposed to a boundary condition files).
